MTM Community Day!!!04-Apr-2016EVERYONE from the community is invited to visit the Marx Toy Museum at NO CHARGE on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 11 am until 5 pm. The event features a “History of Marx” program and toy demonstration at the start of every hour. The program will include an introduction to Louis Marx & Co. - discussing Louis Marx, the Marx factories, a background on the toy production process, and a working demonstration of some of the more fascinating Marx toys. A maze of glass cabinets guides visitors through thousands of Marx favorites on display, from tin wind-ups to Big Wheels, push toys to trains, historical playsets, dollhouses and service stations, Johnny West figures, and much, much more. Visitors are invited to stroll through the museum at their own pace and find the displays which strike the most memories. Donations will be accepted to support the museum in continuing its Mission of preserving the history of Marx through traveling exhibits and a virtual MTM website featuring a comprehensive collection of imagery of the iconic toys, factory workers and their stories, and the history of Louis Marx & Co. - including supplemental audio and video. For a guided tour of the collection, normal hours at the Marx Toy Museum are from 11 am until 5 pm – Tuesday through Saturday.
